I take a limited number of sessions every month so I have the time to work with you on all the details. From the planning stages to printing and choosing final artwork, you will have my undivided attention. Here's how it typically works:
1 Let's meet!
I like to start by meeting people face-to-face, or at least a good phone call. Let's get a coffee and talk about what makes your family tick. Let me answer your questions and put your worries to rest. We’ll get inspired and figure out what these pictures could look like.
2 Book a Date
At the end of our meeting we will pick a date and start planning! I will collect a retainer fee, we'll sign a contract and model release, and the preparations begin. Now, don't think of this part as work. It's really just more of me getting to know you. I will ask you questions that hopefully help us get at the real 'why' for your pictures. Let's put into words what it is you want to see and feel at the end of this process. Believe me, this part is important! The more information you share with me, the better I will do at telling your story.
3 Photo Day
Leading up to your big day, we will talk about any of your concerns. I will provide you with a Session Prep Guide to help guide your choices in wardrobe, and give you some helpful tips for the day of the shoot. By photo day, we will have a great plan, and you will feel absolutely ready to go. I will tag along as you go about the activities we planned. Sometimes I will do a little directing, and sometimes I will just photograph as it happens. We will take our time so that you can relax, ignore the camera, and be yourselves.
4 Photo Reveal
This is the best part of the whole process! We will meet to go over your fully edited and retouched images. We laugh, we cry, and we enjoy the love you see in your beautiful family. I will walk you through choosing artwork, pairing images, and creating albums and gallery walls.
A couple of weeks later, I will deliver artwork right to your door. You will have actual photographs that make your heart skip a little beat when you see them, realizing they’ve already grown a little more. We will all pat ourselves on the back for a job well done!
