MEET THE CONTESTANTS
Bosch is a huge goober and melted our hearts with his lovable personality. He adores his human dad and loves to bring him his keys—hopefully for a ride or a fun outing!
Buddy is the sweetest little Beagle with the softest ears. She loves sunbathing, treats, getting lots of pets (especially on her belly), waiting patiently for our young daughters to drop food on the floor, and giving you her best sad eyes to get anything she wants. Buddy won’t go to sleep until you spend some time snuggling with her on the couch and she’s always the first to greet you at the door with such love it’s tough to tell whether you’ve been out for 2 hours or 2 days.
Charlie is a wiggle butt that is a pocket of sunshine. She loves chasing balls, squirrels, and birds or creating little piles of mulch from sticks. She’s equal parts a couch potato and a typical bouncy golden. She loves deeply and wiggles into everyone’s hearts with her hugs.
Chee-Chee Bear is a cuddly girl that loves to sneak in kisses. She's most energetic at 11pm for her nightly zoomies, and her favorite hideaway spot is under the bed where you can find a collection of missing socks and kid toys. We love our little Chee-Chee Bear!
Cider is a sweet boy, he loves long walks on the beach a good nap in the sun and all the snacks ones heart could desire.
Haywood loves long hikes, conversing with squirrels and cozy campfire snuggles. With a treat in hand, this dapper dog will take on any demand!
To Heidi, a stranger is just a friend she hasn’t met! This supermodel loves everyone and is constantly begging for pets! Despite moonlighting as a supermodel, Heidi is training to become a service dog!
For being a small dog, Jackie has a big personality! She enjoys hunting garden critters and barking at airplanes (she has a 100% success rate of scaring them away!). When she's not patrolling her back yard you will find her supervising her humans from her favorite soft spots around the house.
Jojo has a B.A. in Canine Cuisine with a concentration in Meat. She’s currently working on a Master’s Degree in Delivery Truck Alerts.
Juno was born in June, chases rabbits with futility, and loves greeting all our visitors!
King is a very gentle and friendly Chow who is very much in tune with the emotions of others. He's especially patient with young kids, babies, and puppies! He loves to climb things like a mountain goat and has a brother named Kong.
Kodiak is a therapy dog. He loves to herd our chickens and play tug with his bulldog sister. He also enjoys stealing toilet paper and running through the house! Kodiak earned his Intermediate Trick Dog Title through the AKC and loves to do tricks with the students he visits. He knows over 20 tricks, including pushing different colored buttons on command. He is a perpetual student and always eager to learn!
Meet Kona; the tennis ball-obsessed, cuddle-kingdom reigning champion, a quirky Mini Australian Shepherd mix straight from Texas! Adopted 9 years ago, she’s been dominating the couch and the backyard ever since. With her unbeatable mix of energy and charm, she’s ready to fetch her way to victory in this bracket playoff! Let the games begin!
Lexi age 4, is a beautiful spirit, calm, gentle and kind, so quiet, so docile, unlike any dog I’ve ever met. Pulls like a sled dog and loves to play with other dogs often leaping over their whole body. An avid thief, Her fav food to steal is pasta with red sauce or pizza and she has no fear of getting caught red handed.
Lucky Man is the most affectionate and playful dog you will ever meet. Loves to play ball and tug on a rope. Will jump 4 feet off the ground to get anything up high, including our cats! He is a complete snuggler and loves to be held close.
Mateo is up for anything, especially if it involves food and napping! This sweet boy enjoys snuggling on the couch and taking walks (and occasional dips in the river) at Heard Farm.
Olive is full of energy and loves walks in the woods, chasing squirrels, shaking her toys, and playing fierce games of tug-o-war. Once she's tired out from that, she's a lovebug who likes to snuggle up on the couch and give her mom toothy kisses.
Olive is a force to be reckoned with - so long as you’re not the wind, rain, or a loud noise! Her life’s goal is to play fetch and then lay as close as possible to any human who will have her, especially her 3 and 5 year old brothers.
Our pandemic pup Paisley is bubbly and always ready to play! She just wants to be where her humans are and will do zoomies one moment and snuggle the next. Pure love and happiness!
Known as the “mayor of the aqueduct,” Ranger loves saying hi with his signature beagle bay to every dog that walks by and then a good race back and forth a few times!
Although Sampson is a big, strong and handsome guy, he is a cuddly love bug whose happiness and light rubs off on everyone he meets- dogs and humans alike. Super friendly, smart and loyal- he has been called Black Panther (because of his beautiful black fur), Bear and Big Boy- and could not be loved more! Vote for Sampson!
Sofia is the ultimate diva demanding attention and living her best life. She is the reigning slipper thief in the house and knows exactly how to get what she wants—whether it's a belly rub, a treat, or a spot on the couch. Her irresistible charm and playful antics keep everyone wrapped around her little paw!
Meet Sonny “Corleone” Marcus—the little guy with a big legacy to uphold! As the brother of last year’s champ, Neiman Marcus, he’s got some serious (and stylish) paws to fill. But don’t let his size fool you—this tiny powerhouse has a personality bigger than his bark. One look into those eyes, and you’re a goner. Whether it’s playtime or cuddle time, Sonny is always ready to steal the show—and maybe your heart while he’s at it.
She looks tough but beware....she is a cuddler! Sillvie loves curling up on the couch to watch a movie and playing tug with her brother. She is an excellent catcher of treats and never misses. Sillvie lost her leg due to a tumor 1.5 years ago but has proven that she is even more powerful as a tripod. Even when she gets knocked down (usually by her brother when playing) she gets right back up for more. She is a fighter in spirit and inspiring!

Get ready for a lighthearted competition for the CUTEST CANINE of METROWEST!
Your $125 entry fee will allow your pooch to compete in an online, bracket-style competition, with proceeds going directly to BUDDY DOG!
Participants will have their pet’s portraits taken by Wonderstruck Studio in February and have the opportunity to create fabulous artwork for their home.
Pet portraits will enter an online competition in March, with prizes for the Final Four, and one dog being crowned the Ulti-mutt Cutie of Metrowest!

Buddy Dog
Buddy Dog is a 501(c)3 humane society, shelter and adoption center in Sudbury, MA.
Founded in 1961, “Buddy Dog” is a not-for-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to finding new homes for homeless dogs and cats. The Society is incorporated with one main objective, “giving a new lease on life to impounded dogs and cats”. Animals find refuge at our shelter, and can depend on becoming someone’s forever friend. There is no time limit on their stay.
The goal of the Buddy Dog Humane Society is to find responsible and permanent homes for all the animals in our care. To help realize this goal, our adoption counselors work with potential adopters to match them with a friend for life. At Buddy Dog, we value our reputation as a premiere humane organization in metropolitan Boston. We invite you to come visit the shelter and see the beautiful “buddies” awaiting new homes… and to spread the word.

Hello! I am a Boutique Photographer, helping clients decorate their homes with gorgeous artwork that features the people (and pets) they love most! From planning a unique session to framing and installing your artwork, I make it fun and easy to surround yourself with meaningful family heirlooms.
Over the last few years, I have used photography to raise thousands of dollars for charitable causes. This year, I am thrilled to work with other photographers around the country in this fun event.
I now have my own perfect, snuggly, love-muffin of a doggie (thanks Covid!), and I know how important she is to my life.
