School Photographs you actually love
School photos get a bad reputation! Most of us grew up in the laser beams and wicker chairs era. And though I kinda love awkward photos with weird hair and intergalactic lightening, school photos can be more than an odd little keepsake.
Let me bring the studio to your school and help you capture timeless, sweet expressions of your little people!
FAQ’s for picture day!
How should I dress my child?
This is such a good question! There is no right or wrong here - this can be a chance for you to immortalize your child’s favorite things (think necklaces, or ninja turtles t-shirts). Or you can go timeless with earthy colors, textured fabrics (denim, lace, corduroy, knits), and layers (like cardigans, jackets or vests). A few suggestions:
Avoid logos or words on shirts that could get cut off
Avoid large hair bows that stick up more than an inch
Steer l neon colors (these tend to throw color casts on your child’s skin that are not great)
Can I request touch ups on skin or hair?
I do many touchups before you see your portraits. If you see any additional editing to be done (like redness, flaky skin, scrapes and blemishes) send me an email. Most touch-ups are simple and free of charge!
Do you take class pictures?
Yes! A complimentary class photo is included with every order. You will not see them in your gallery, but these will be included in your final package.
What about sibling portraits?
Yes, I do take sibling photos. Please let your teachers know if you would like these.
When do I see my child’s portraits?
You will have online access to your child's photographs within a couple of weeks. Your school will direct you to an online gallery site when your pictures are finished. You will be able to choose photographs and place orders directly through the website.
Do I need to pre-order a package?
There is no need for parents to prepay or select packages in advance. All ordering is done after picture day, when parents can see what they are purchasing. There are a variety of packages, starting at $16.
Whom do I contact if I have questions?

Using a simple backdrop and a little fun, we can make authentic and beautiful portraits you’ll adore. We might have less to embarrass our kids with later on, but that’s what our phones are for, right? I never ask a child to smile, and there are no forced ‘cheese’ faces. Instead, I look for a pop of personality and photograph it.
